*holy shit it's been nearly 2 months since I last wrote something here O_oººº*


a lot has happened since my last entry, let's see... where to start

my grandmother is doing way better, she's still at the rest house (regardless the fact that she's doing better, the thought of her being there kills me), anyways... she's stable, her health issues are controlled; I'm seeing her the way I haven't in years, she's happier, healthier yet every now & then she talks to me about going back home, I don't know what to say (it's not up to me to make that call, my uncle & aunt are the ones that can give that order)

other than that I'm glad she's ok

I've been living by myself for nearly 5 months, my aunt comes to visit every 2 months or so, my mother will come by as well, hopefully next month

other news...I'll graduate from college (hopefully) next month, it's amazing, 3 years go by so darn fast =X
I still don't know what I'll do next. I need to check out all the options, pros & cons of everything
till the 29th I'll have exams, after that... we'll see
I've been extra busy preparing all sorts of presentations/final projects that I barely touched my sketchbook

lately I've been hanging out with my friends, mostly from highschool, it's hard to figure what I'll miss the most about college, we'll see
our rendez vous always end up the same way, 4 a.m. having a "meal", a quarter to five, leaving our friend at the train station, waiting for the bus/tram, talking about our misadventures, about naruto, about life, catching the (not so pleasant) morning breeze, saying bu bais & arriving home at 7 a.m.

I'm putting a hold on commissions till I figure out what course my life should take =X
I only have time for the usual "sweet nothings", I can't remember the last time I actually finished something
lately the idea of hanging around with the camera seems so pleasant ;_;<3 (anything to ignore the studies?)

2-- ever since our last college hang out, my friends discovered my (one of many) alter ego, they call it "Carlota" (please, don't ask)

4-- I've got the whole x-men collection, since issue #1 (now, where can I find the time to actually read everything?!)
5-- apparently people wonder when I stare at comedies/romantic comedies, because "I don't laugh"
6-- *almost there* I miss my gauges I just don't think I have the will to re stretch my lobes again
7-- *I'm running out of ideas here* I can't remember the last book I read

Since I can remember; I used to draw all over my grandmother's cook books as well as her tupperwares (never knew such thing as creative limitations)

Depends, cartoon style I prefer females but for realistic portraits (or something close to that) I prefer males; I guess I'm too used to improvise when it comes to females, since I sketch them more often than males (you get the point...)

--Which is easier to draw - long hair or short hair?
Long hair gives a more feminine/glamourous touch when it comes to sketch, personally I prefer short hair; in y pics you can see (most of the time)girls with their hair pulled in a bun of sorts

--Is it easier to draw the head facing towards the right or the left?

--Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?

--What do you have problems in drawing?
everything? hands, legs, feet, backgrounds, why did I start drawing anyways?

faces, floating limbs, emo apples, you name it ^^

traditional most of the time, even tho sometimes I have an urge to pull out digital pieces more often

heads mostly

messy lightsource, most of the characters lack dynamism, (and legs, and clothes ihih )

any particular medium?

--How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
depends on my mood, time, ...

--What music do you listen to while you draw?
once again it depends on my mood, it can go from rock to jazz, punk to pop; personally I like anything with a good drum rythm <3

--How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
ahas so vague here... let's see... I find that the more I think about a concept, when I have to put it on paper it becomes harder to sketch ut the way I had in mind, sometimes it just goes naturally, have the basic thought and start adding things; the environment around is a huge influence to that as well

--Your favorite drawing utensils?
sanguine pencil for sketch (hence the red tones on most of my pics), mech pencil for the 1st lineart, defining contours & final shapes, ink, nib pen, rubber, the usual suspects

--Your favorite color/the color that you use a lot?
I've been sketching a lot lately so it has to be red/grey, but if I'm working on a full to finish piece i prefer warm tones

--Your favorite style(s)?
it's hard to define, cartoon, manga, realistic, comic, ...

a good one would be nice
